Ali MacGraw

Elizabeth Alice MacGraw better known as Ali MacGraw is an award-winning American model actor author designer as well as an animal rights activist. Ali MacGraw is known for movies such as Love Story, Goodbye Columbus and The Getaway. The daughter of an artistic family in New York she wished to pursue a career in the field of art. The first job she had was a photo assistant. Then she moved on to modelling and acting. Her first two movies her name was acknowledged as a winner of her the Golden Globe Award as Most Promising Young Actress. MacGraw became an international star after her 1970 movie Love Story, which earned an Academy Award nomination as well as a Golden Globe. After only three movies, MacGraw was declared as the top female performer film in the history of box offices. The handprints of her signature, as well as footprints were engraved in 1972 at the Grauman's Chinese Theater. The other films she has appeared on include The Getaway Convoy Players, the miniseries on TV The Winds of War and many more. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography of hers, came out. MacGraw was divorced three times.
