Zoe-perry

Perry is daughter to actors Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. The first time she appeared on TV was two episodes on the show as Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) in her role on the ABC sitcom Roseanne, the character portrayed by her mother. However, her parents were not keen to let her perform until she turned an adult and was worried about the impact of stress. Perry stated that she was timid to perform during high school, but started performing at Northwestern University as a way to make friends after transferring from Boston University. Perry made her debut at New York after graduation, having minor roles in Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Then, homesickness led to Perry come back to California and find work as a theatre actress. In 2013, she appeared in The Other Place on Broadway alongside her mother. In 2015, Perry appeared alongside Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Anna Christie. It is part of the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. Perry made an appearance in nine episodes of The Family, an ABC thriller The Family in 2016. She was also a regular actor for the ABC political drama Scandal, starring her dad. In the same year, she portrayed a younger character based on Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory), portraying her mother in a younger version. Despite having a family connection to the character, she was offered the role via an audition.
