Pickler was born Kellie dawn Pickler June 28, 1986. Pickler had a difficult childhood. At the age of two her mother fled in order to escape an abusive relationship. She came back into the life of Pickler in 1995, and was given custody of her. It did not work out as planned. Pickler, then 12, was remanded to her parents through the judge. They took care of her till she was old enough to be an adult. Pickler was too busy raising her children in the absence of their parents. Pickler stated that time was not enough and that she had to learn how to care for her family at a young time. Pickler was a cheerleader in her middle and high schools. North Stanly High School graduated in the year 2004. Pickler has also been a beauty contestant. The title she held was to Miss Stanly county.
